The last few days for us at Heal the World Movement has been activities filled following our annual pre-convention field events to Hospital and The agency for the aged.
Last Saturday was our visit to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where the leadership of the Movement led by the President, Dr. Tola Olukilede alongside the Director of Welfare and Scholarship, Pastor Banji Bali led a delegation of members and other leaders of the movement to this state-owned health facility.
Just as this visit has always been, it often kicks off with a small brief by Dr. Tola Olukilede and then, a walk round to various wards where some selected less privileged patients have been penned down for help. In this visit, medical bills were paid to offset patients debts while prayer and the anointing oil were also administered to patients with their knowledge.
While rounding off last Saturday visit, Dr Tola in an interview with TVC news said that;
“it is written in the Bible that we should be a help to the helpless and the purpose we came today is for us to be a blessing to the helpless especially those who could not pay their bill completely.”
Pastor Bali in his interview also stressed the need for the priviledged ones in the society to be part of this move in a bid to support the government in quality health delivery.
“We want to appeal to the priviledged ones in the country, that is the rich ones come and join hands with the government to ensure that our health sector is moved to the next level
As part of other activities lined up for this forthcoming convention, the Movement also visited the Agency for the Aged (center for senior citizens in Lagos ), situated in Abesan in Ipaja area of Lagos yesterday.
In this visit that made it the eleventh time the movement had visited, Pastor Banji Bali expressed his joy over the state at which things are now with the center, following the Director’s (Dr Okusanya) comment that the center is now recognised by the United Nations. Pastor Bali on behalf of the President further reinstate the commitment of the Movement in being a succor to the organization when the need arises.
Dr. Okusanya finally applauded the movement, emphasizing that her commitment has ever been consistently dynamic. he, therefore, urged all members of the movement present to see to taking good care of their aged parents and fellows as this is an act befitting for them while they are alive.
The movement will also host several orphanage homes at the Movement secretariat on Monday, November 11, 2019 .
This forthcoming convention will kick off on the 12th of November through 15th of the same month. It has often been characterized by its encounter filled experience.
You don’t want to miss it.
