Heal the world movement in a three days skill acquisition program, has yet empowered over 40 people with skills in cloth stoning, nutritious drink production, and much more.
This empowerment program happens to be the second edition yet in the year and it has been as practical as possible. The scheme which took place at the Movement secretariat in Ota, starting from Wednesday through Friday gave attendees foreknowledge into the production of the aforementioned products both for home production purposes and commercial similarly.
The Convener of this program, Mrs. Mimi Idaewor who also doubles as the head of the Directorate of Skill Acquisition at Heal the World Movement mentioned that the program is one of the Movement’s initiatives to heal the community and importantly provide members with economical skills such that will return value and generate a means of livelihood for them and their family.
In her reaction she further stated;
“I discovered that Heal the World Movement gives and has given a lot to the society and there is still a lot to be covered so I suggested the need to train some of our beneficiaries that are already on the Movement’s scholarship list so that they will be empowered and as such, give room for fresh people that can be helped. So in a nutshell, it is a dream to help empower women, men, youth and singles”.
Also reacting to the success of the empowerment which came to an end today with skill acquisition in fascinator making, one of the participants, Ajibola Olukemi said;
“Honestly, these three days of intensive training has given me last longing opportunities to learn more than one skill and also became an entrepreneur”.
